We had a meeting of small group leaders earlier this week and were so encouraged to hear about all that his happening in this key area in the life of our church. Three new groups have been started: 1. The Wednesday night group previously led by Netta Southwood has grown in numbers to the point where it needed to be split into two groups. That's great news and we celebrate the life and growth within this group! The new offshoot from this group is being led by Pam and Arthur Jacob and you're welcome to contact them if you'd like to join them. 2. A young adults group (for post-matrics) has been meeting these last two Wednesdays. We've just started working through a video course and you can contact Michael or Kym (032 946 1319) if you're interested in joining us. 3. A group for parents of young children will be meeting for the first time this coming Thursday at Michael and Kym's home from 6pm to 7:30pm. Kids are welcome and supper is provided. Give us a call if you're interested in being a part of this. At our small group leaders meeting, we also laid the foundations for planning the hosting of our Alpha Course in August this year. Bill and Lucille Hooper are co-ordinating a team that is preparing for this very exciting 10 week course. It's the kind of thing that would be helpful for any Christian, but it is particularly designed for people new to the Church. Which means that we can all start thinking now about who to invite to the course later in the year! Won't you keep the small groups as well as this Alpha planning process in your prayers? Michael
